Resonape ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Resonape mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo through our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign in with a third-party service (such as Google or Apple), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
User-Generated Content
We collect content you create through the Service, including comments, replies, and votes on shared links. This content is associated with your account and visible to other users.
Shared Links
When you share a link through the Service, we store the URL and automatically retrieve publicly available metadata (title, description, image) from that webpage to display a preview.
Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment method details. We retain only your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status to manage your account.
Automatically Collected Information
We collect basic usage analytics on our website through Vercel Analytics, which may include page views, interaction events, and performance metrics. We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Sentiment Analysis
We use OpenAI's API to analyze the overall sentiment of comments on shared links. Comment text and vote scores are sent to OpenAI for this purpose. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy, which states that data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
4. Third-Party Services
We share information with the following third-party service providers:
- Clerk — Authentication and user identity management
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
- OpenAI — Comment sentiment analysis
- Vercel — Website hosting and analytics
Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and associated content (comments, votes) will be permanently removed from our systems. Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Clerk, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
